Kara Brunzell has been the owner and principal historian of Brunzell Historical since its founding in 2013. She has practiced in cultural resource management and historic preservation since 2007, and holds a BA in History from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a Master's in Public History from California State University, Sacramento. She qualifies as a historian and architectural historian under the US SOI Professional Qualification Standards (as defined in 36 CFR, Part 61). She is currently on the Napa County Planning Commission and serves as Board Director and Preservation Advocacy Committee Co-Chair at Napa County Landmarks. 



​Tatyana Dunn has worked as a historian for Brunzell Historical since 2020. Her work includes the recordation and inventory of historic resources using both the National and California Register of Historic Places (NRHP, CRHP) guidelines, DPR 523 preparation, and research. She will qualify as a historian and architectural historian under the US SOI Professional Qualification Standards upon completion of her Public History Master's program from California State University, Sacramento, later in 2026.



​Nora Barber has been a research assistant for Brunzell Historical since 2021. Her work includes performing record searches at California Historic Register Informational Systems (CHRIS) information centers as well as handling site visits in Southern California.​
